Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow
could keep 40,000 people from attending this year's Tomahawk
Fall Ride. The Thursday night concert was a hit with a
record breaking attendance by allowing everyone to have a good
time and to get out of the cold. The new warmer apparel
offered at SARA Park and the two Harley-Davidson plants were
just what everyone needed and were sold out by Friday. |

This year marked the 25th Annual
Tomahawk Fall Ride. Plans for the Fall Ride included tours
of the two Harley-Davidson plant, motorcycle raffles, SARA Park
activities with food & merchandise sales, the downtown street
dances an the Thunder Parade. |

Harley-Davidson & the Muscular
Dystrophy Association celebrate their 25th Anniversary together.
Plans for the Tomahawk Fall Ride include tours of the
Harley-Davidson plant and Battle Trax at the Kaphaem Rd.

merchandise sales, the street dance and Thunder Parade. |

Warm temperatures guarantee a
record attendance at 40,000 and a record donation to MDA of
$100,000 from the event and $75,000 from the bike raffle. |

A comedian is added to the
entertainment and a record $116,000 is raised for MDA. |

The City of Tomahawk, Chamber of
Commerce and the Tavern & Business Association, take over the
street dance. |

The 30,000 person crowd estimate continues
for a third straight year. |

The main street was blocked off
and the first street dance took place. Bikes were allowed
to park "Sturgis style" and bands played at both ends. The
Thunder parade featured about 2000 bikes. |

To commemorate the Green Bay Packers'
Super Bowl championship, this year's raffle bike was painted
Green & Gold and personally autographed by Packer coach Mike
Holmgren, himself a Harley enthusiast. The donation to MDA that
year was $100,000 with more than $67,000 raised from the bike
raffle. |
1995

The brand new Tomahawk Harley-Davidson
North Plant was opened for tours. The crowd was estimated to
reach 13,000 at its peak. The total donation to MDA reached
$80,000. |
1991

The Thunder Parade took place for
the first time through the streets of Tomahawk. |
1990

The new addition this year was a bike
raffle. A 1990 Harley-Davidson Sportster was the first
bike given away. The tickets sold at $1.00 a ticket and
helped the event raise nearly $16,000 for MDA. |
1989

The event is moved to SARA Park.
Attendance estimates reach 5,000 people and 1500 motorcycles and
the donation to MDA is $10,000. |
1986

In search of better motorcycling weather,
the event is moved earlier in the Fall to September.
Approximately 1,200 people participate, raising $3,200 for MDA. |
1983
--
Harley-Davidson, Inc. and the Harley
Owners' Group get involved and the event grows to about 300
riders on 160 motorcycles. Money raised through a $2.00
registration fee goes to the Muscular Dystrophy Association,
Harley-Davidson's charity of choice. |

The First Annual Tomahawk Fall Ride takes
place with 21 riders from the North Country Riders Motorcycle
Club. |
